Target Audience: Art lovers or artists who want to understand Expressionism as one of the major art history movements of the 20th century, as well as its contemporary versions in New Expressionism.  

Course Duration: There is a one-month limit to do the courses after registration. It is difficult to determine how long it will take you to complete the course. The average time to read through the tutorial material is about 3 hours, but it can be longer, depending on how much time you spend on the links. This Module also has an assignment  to complete, which takes a variable amount on time.

MODULE DESCRIPTION:

This module guides you to understand Expressionism as an arthistorical movement as a well as expressionism as a stylistic convention of expressing emotion and a human condition. Abstract Expressionism and New Expressionism receive specific attention. 


What you will learn:

You will gain a basic understanding of Expressionism as an arthistorical movement.

You will acquire insight into the spirit and style of expressionist thinking in art.

You will  gain insight into the various dimensions of expressing the self in art today.

There is an Assignment for this module. The Assignment is practical and should take about 1 day.
